The controversial aspects of biblical history are generally played down in all the church denominations, and church-goers are rarely helped to make connections with other events that were happening at the time of Christ. The information in this book comes not only from the gospels themselves but from standard and biblical encyclopedias and texts plus items of oral tradition as well. By integrating facts from these diverse sources to present an enriched portrait of Christ in His time, I trust that I am providing valuable and intriguing insights to the reader. We all can benefit from gaining a fuller picture of the personage upon whom Christianity was founded, and it is my aim to add to that fascinating subject.
